Mid-Morning Rant...
This is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen -- the posts at the bottom even more so than Mr. Taylor's comments, which I would like to point out would not exist if his mother had exercised her right to abort her pregnancy (but I digress)... And who's forcing this man to drink dirty water??? Whatever.
[I'll go ahead & say it: Matt & any other liberal Democrats, feel free to go ahead & start writing some long-ass thesis as to why President Bush is wrong & this shameful goober is every liberal's hero -- but be aware that it will likely be a waste of your time b/c it's my blog & I will say whatever I feel like saying & take the liberty of just deleting your comment if I want to -- I'm not trying to convince anyone of my beliefs nor do I want anyone else trying to convince me of theirs... Why? Because I'm a Republican, I guess, & we just do shitty things like that. Mu-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!]
Anyway, I'm reading the comments at the bottom & I really don't see what all of these people are hooting & hollering about. I wasn't a fan of Bill Clinton, but I have more integrity & respect for the Presidency than to talk to him like that. (If it were Hillary, different story maybe...) I do, however, give the man "props" for thanking the President for letting him speak his peace... That really is what this country is about & it showed the respect that his comments were lacking... That being said, maybe Mr. Taylor & all of those liberal posters should get together with Charlie Sheen & talk about how the fall of the twin towers appeared to be a "controlled demolition" & other conspiracy theories against Bush over some drinks, cocaine & whores (that is, if Charlie can take a break from his gambling, sex, prostitute, booze & drug addicions long enough to discuss it again).
You know, had Clinton had the balls to do anything about terrorism during HIS Presidency, maybe HE would be the one touted as the "miserable failure", but he didn't. Why? Probably because he was too busy getting his dick sucked by a chunky intern to deal with the fine art of war, action against terrorists, the U.N., approval ratings, etc.
The one post I did like was, "Wonder how many people ask Kennedy if he is ashamed for killing Mary Jo Kopeckne?" Of course all of the posters get up-in-arms over this & start spouting stuff about how long ago that was, Laura Bush having a wreck & killing her high school boyfriend, Cheney shooting his friend, etc. You know what the difference was? The two of them weren't drunk & didn't leave their victims to DIE to protect their own reputations. Again, it's called INTEGRITY.
I'll admit I didn't read ALL of the comments. Just seemed like a waste of my time. Then again, what did I expect from a ultra-liberal site? Maybe I'd be better off somewhere like here. Hee, hee...

Amen sister!
I don't understand American Politics....
All I know is that no one ever likes the leader of their countries... Canada isn't any different. Ours just have bigger mouths...LOL
D
I read this this morning as well, and the guy is right, Bush lied to us about going to war in iraq, the administrations stated reason was WMD's and they knew there were none there. And Wiretapping, it is not that people are against the government listening in on phone from persons of interest, it is the fact that it can become a slippery slope, where the program becomes corrupted to spy on innocent americans, also most constitutional scholars agree that the action authorized by the president was unconstituional. And remember you can bitch about Clinton all you want to but all he ever did was get a blowjob. And Republicans impeached him for that. Sounds like penis envy to me. He was a good president with sound domestic and foreign policies. If you want crooks look at the current administration (Scooter Libby) or high ranking lobbyists (Jack Abramoff) or Congressional Leaders (Tom Delay, Bill Frist). Hell Cheney shot a guy for crying out loud. Oh well this is your blog so I want take up anymore space but i had to post something since you called me out.
peace
Well, I must reply to umrebel's "you can bitch about Clinton all you want to but all he ever did was get a blowjob. And Republicans impeached him for that." from what I remember, Clinton was never impeached - actually the only president I know of to ever get impeached was Nixon. But I guess liberal history majors don't know that...
I have to say that, yes, Clinton was actually impeached (which is the act of bringing the accusation against him -- i.e. lying), but was not actually kicked out of office like Nixon. So the it never got to that point.
And I've never faulted Clinton for getting the blow job -- I mean, come on, just look at Hillary. Can you blame him?
Penis envy? Oh, you got me there. Wait, no, no you didn't.
"If you want crooks look at the current administration..." Ha, ha! That's funny coming on the heels of you talking about Clinton!!! I mean, how many people do I know who have been involved in business deals with one person or couple and who have "mysteriously" died? Not many, if any. You don't think the Clintons were crooks? That's funny...
Sorry, Websters Online Dictionary:
SMain Entry: 1im·peach
Pronunciation: im-'pEch
Function: transitive verb
Etymology: Middle English empechen, from Middle French empeechier to hinder, from Late Latin impedicare to fetter, from Latin in- + pedica fetter, from ped-, pes foot -- more at FOOT
1 a : to bring an accusation against b : to charge with a crime or misdemeanor; specifically : to charge (a public official) before a competent tribunal with misconduct in office
2 : to cast doubt on; especially : to challenge the credibility or validity of impeach the testimony of a witness
3 : to remove from office especially for misconduct
they are all correct........
I have to admit. Matt is right, Getting a Blowjob WAS the only thing Clinton ever did. Unless you count getting out of the way of the economy an accomplishment.
Okay, I never said Clinton was impeached for getting a blow job -- it was because he LIED about it to a grand jury. You're the freaking President, come on!!! Have some sense & just tell the truth. All you stand to lose is Hillary. And is that really a loss?
(Every guy is going to stand up for the "it was only a blow job" argument.)
That being said, I do think the whole Clinton impeachment was blown out of proportion -- pun intended. But the fact remains that it was for lying, not for the BJ itself.
Clinton getting out of the way of the economy, I'm not sure what that means, but under his administration, the US witnessed unparalled growth and the economy was good for most of the years (the first couple of years as we were coming out of Reaganomics). But if you think about both systems work equally well they just need time (Repubs generally laissez-faire attitude and Dems generally socialistic attitude).
Oh and yeah Clinton was impeached for "obstruction of Justice," but we all know it was a front for blowjob. you can talk about all the mysterious deaths that you want but no evidence has ever pointed to the Clintons having anything to do with murder or forced suicide.
The current administration ranks up there with Grant's and Harding's administrations with the amount of corruption that goes on. It is impossible not to see and people that fail to see it are either being selectively blind or incredible naive.
HUZZAH!!!!!!
Oh & Queen it may be a good idea to never post anything political again or your blog may turn into a monster unto its on judging by the growing number of comments
Oh and "jpdalewood" Andrew Johnson was the only other president ever impeached, Nixon resigned from office before impeachment proceedings could begin
yeah, but he was acquitted
By getting out of the way of the economy, I meant just that. I truly believe Presidents do little to change the economy. And that is the normal defense of Clinton's Presidency.
As far as Clinton's impeachment being about a Blowjob, that is crap. It was about him lying about it. If he would have admitted it from the start, it would have been a month long scandel and not a lifelong scandel.
